Lower Kanarra Fall, Utah

Winter hike to Kannara Falls. The climb up the first ladder was gnarly, but thanks to the crampons, was not an issue. I definitely needed the crampons for the second ladder immediately after the first one. The hike from the Lower to the Upper Kanarra Fall was beautiful. There was so much ice in the creek and the landscape seems to have changed a little since the summer (rockfall?) - took my time to get to the Upper Fall and am glad I did. The light was stunning at the Upper Fall and I spent a good hour there. It was so cold that the straps of my camera bag that had gotten dipped in the water, froze along with the water on my shoe laces. I saw no one else after I crossed the Lower Fall (even the Lower Fall only had 2 couples who came and left within a couple of minutes due to the cold water). Wonderful hike and highly recommended - with the right gear.
